Learn Venture Capitalist: VC investment group VC funding: Investors pooling money together to invest in projects. Fund managers reach out to potential investors (seed investors) inviting them to participate.

VC fund manager:

Someone who represents a VC fund reviewing projects to determine growth potentials.

Retail investors:

Non-professional individual investors who invest money themselves or through brokerage firms

Picks & shovel investments:

Initial coin offerings Things to understand:

  • Existing competitors (look at other chains)

  • Who are your users

Applying for funding

To cover on your pitch:

  • Product demo

  • Pain point (show the running app, example on how this works)

  • Transaction (MAU, DAY, TVL)

  • Market size

  • Email follow up 24-36 hours (deck & other relevant documentation)

Step 1.

  • Write up a pitch deck

Step 2.

  • Create a prototype that works (nice UI)

Notes:

  • Social media interaction is important

  • Things consumers actually want & need
